Par ses enqu\u00eates de terrain et par une comparaison \u00e0 travers la litt\u00e9rature ethnographique, Charles St\u00e9panoff a document\u00e9 ces techniques et \u00e9tudi\u00e9 leur fonctionnement et leur efficacit\u00e9. Il montre que les images qui couvrent tambours et costumes cr\u00e9ent des liens sensoriels entre trois espaces : le corps, l\u2019habitat et le cosmos. Il pr\u00e9sentera dans cette conf\u00e9rence le cas de certains rituels accomplis en Sib\u00e9rie du Sud et en Mongolie au cours desquels le chamane fait venir des esprits devant le public puis s\u2019envole vers des espaces lointains.
